What is Hindi/Punjabi Exposure Programme?
Hindi/Punjabi Programme is for my online students who wish to learn Hindi/Punjabi and travel together in real life / in person in India by selecting the favourite or desired cities. This language & sightseeing programme is about teaching Hindi on-site through different activities and curriculum covering all 4 modules of speaking, listening, writing and reading.
How does it work?
Hindi/Punjabi students who have an interest in the language and a desire to learn more about India, through language, are encouraged to attend. Together we tailor an itinerary (using a real time updated shared google docs) to the needs of the tutor and student on all levels, and ages.
Why is it different and unique?
From sunrise to sunset you will be immersed in Hindi/Punjabi. Stroll the markets listening to locals buying their daily needs, ride autos through the streets while conversing with the drivers, visit famous destinations opting to read the Hindi informational boards, read menus and order in Hindi/Punjabi, and much much more.

Accommodation
Airbnb’s are the preferred location for my Hindi/Punjabi Exposure Programme. A two bedroom, two bath AirBnb typically costs the same as a 1 bed, 1 bath hotel room.
Features of an Airbnb:
•Stay in local neighborhoods surrounded by shops, restaurants, parks, and other venues which bring you closer to living like a local than in a hotel
•Spacious common room, ideal for one on one lessons and study time
•Private bedroom and bath, a calming spot to recharge in between lessons
•Fully stocked kitchen, allowing cooking modules and reduced meal expenses
•Exposure to neighbors with whom you can practice Hindi/Punjabi
For woman, Group or Couple, others
Extra precautions are important for single women travelling in India. Your security and comfort can directly impact the success of your Exposure Programme.
Each itinerary is custom planned, which can include different arrangements, agreements, and personal needs of the student.

Learning Hindi has/had been a personal goal for many years. I’ve been traveling extensively through India for 18 years, and wanted to be able to read signs, interact in daily life, and be self-reliant.
I found Manjit through Preply, and instantly had a good connection with him. We had numerous topics to bond with due to my travels. Within 20 hours of classes I began asking Manjit about his language traveling experiences in India. And I am so thankful I did!
We agreed to a trip in December 2023, for travel in late February/early March 2024. For several months, we worked on building an itinerary that would be engaging, informative, and fun.
We started in Delhi, where we stayed for 4 days. Manjit took time to explain various things viewed along our movements such as posted commands, directions. He taught me how to make chai, using only Hindi. He taught me how to use Uber to move efficiently about the city, as well as Delhi Metro. Together we attended several cultural performances, from a traditional raga concert to a very intimate sitar and tabla performance in a tiny theatre. We shared many delicious meals in restaurants around the city. And of course, we spent time learning Hindi through books, notes, and real time interactive surroundings.
After 4 days we flew to Ahmedabad, my choice as it was a new experience for me (and Manjit), which brought a whole host of new opportunities to learn. Flying domestically came with lots of Hindi speaking, instructions, and directions. Once in Ahmedabad, Manjit and I took in the local bazaar where we purchased supplies for cooking breakfast at our AirBnB. Maza tha! We walked the city, took in some sightseeing, and spent many hours chatting about India.
After our 4 days in Ahmedabad, we flew back to Delhi for a last night meal and recap of the trip. I really could not think of how the trip could have gone any better than it did. Manjit was an easy companion with which to travel.
